[Fan Art] Kyuuzo

Fandom: Samurai 7,
Subject: Kyuuzo,
Type: Icon,
Rating: Everyone,
Media: Mouse, MSpaint, bucket, zoom, pen/cil and (thank all the known deities, and several unknown/forgotten ones for the) erase tools. Shades of yellow, brown and orange.
Hours: The original took four months, that's right. 4. >.< My art style looks nothing like S7's and I was determined to make it look as similar as possible.
Status: Finished! I never thought I'd get to say that. ;_;

Comments: I have to say I'm never doing this again. It is created entirely by mouse. I used this and this images as guides to help me.

The full version is a helluva lot more complicated (and uglier *winces*) than this but I toned it down to get this look. I introduced my head to my desk repeatedly in the process so please do not take. I draw quite a bit with my mouse, but whoa...the technical factor on this was on a whole nother level of sheer rip-my-hair-out-and-gnaw-down-my-finger-bones-to-the-nub frustration.

Hm, I can count myself as one of his most ardent fans but where do people get the idea that he's pretty or even weirder, beautiful? Which is the word in "bi shonen" or "beautiful boy". Clearly, neither is he a boy. If he was a real person his nose would be more of a beak, very big, a touch too long on a face that's just too narrow for conventional comeliness. Maybe that's why I like him. I never did went for the girly-faced, long haired, caved-in chested boys.

Notes: It has not been crossposted and the credit for the scans of the images I listed above is...I don't know who first scanned them. If they are you, then please tell me and I will put your name before the .jpg. Thank you for looking. ^_^

I'm confused. That tiny image took 4 months? o.O

=O =O i am always in awe of people who can draw with mouse (mice?). it does look exactly like kyuuzo! also, we need to get you a tablet! at the rate you're going you'll probably ruin your wrists soon. the taiwan company genuis makes inexpensive ones that are pretty servicable. not a patch on the wacom intuos, of course, but beggars can't be choosers.

Ah~ I know the agony of drawing using mouse XD Hand cramp. Uphh XDD
It's nice though, the shadings were put at the suitable place, so that we can see the exact figure of Kyuzo~
I looooove Kyuzo!

*claps* Bravo! I give you a lot of credit for taking that much time to do that. I would have thrown my mouse across the room after a week. I do agree with you, he's not quite pretty. Thanks for sharing!

Wow- I was impressed when I first saw it thinking it was based on a pencil sketch but the fact you drew this with a mouse blows me away! You really got Kyuzo's attutude down in this.
